Su HailuSu hailu obtained her Bachelors’ Degree from Tsinghua University, where she majored in International Relations and Economics In 2015, she participated in the“Tsinghua-SAIS Global Economics and Politics”summer school program, after which she found her study interest.
Hailu worked as an assistant in the Institute for Global Industry, Tsinghua during the summer of 2016. There she took responsibility for preparing the first “Global Industry Innovation Forum,” as well as finishing several industry research papers across topics such as manufacturing and artificial intelligence. In 2017, she worked for the Energy Foundation as a summer intern, where she mainly focused on energy policy and public transportation. After comparing data from different countries, she evaluated improvements in public transportation in China. During her undergraduate years, Hailu took part in the construction of “Big Power Relations”database, primarily working on the relationship between China and North Korea. She was also a member of the “Business Intelligence”program in SEM. Hailu counts International Political Economy, the One Belt One Road Initiative, and Sino-U.S. Relations as her research interests.
