About Jingzhe

Jingzhe Du graduated from the School of International Relations at Renmin University of China, majoring in International Political Economy. During undergraduate studies, she was awarded the National Scholarship and the Outstanding Graduates of Beijing.

​Jingzhe has broadened her international vision in many overseas practical experiences. At the Harvard Model United Nations conference, she discussed with other delegates how to use geoengineering method and AI in response to global warming. During her exchange at Sciences Po, she witnessed the impact of the refugee tide on French society and the survival problem faced by refugees. She also visited the office of Midea Group in Hanoi, Vietnam, to grasp an in-depth understanding of the current situation, advantages and difficulties of Chinese companies investing in Vietnam in the context of the Belt and Road initiative.

Jingzhe once interned as an assistant to the Government Affairs and Environment Working Group at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. She also tracked the progress of the international mobile payment business at DiDi Chuxing, and explored the development of urban transportation infrastructure of China’s major cities in the next five years at the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Jingzhe has a keen interest in topics including international economic cooperation, climate change, and urban development and construction. She hopes to deepen her understanding of various fields of international development in the Tsinghua-SAIS program and enhance her ability to solve problems in practice.
