Ian Jacobs – NexGen Global Forum

Ian Jacobs is currently studying as part of the Tsinghua-SAIS Dual Degree Program. He graduated with a BA in Media Studies from Hunter College in New York City, but also developed an interest in Asian politics which led him to learn Chinese and Japanese in Taiwan and Kyoto, Japan for three-and-a-half years. After returning to the United States from Asia, Ian interned at the US-Taiwan Business Council in Arlington, Virginia. His academic concentration is Asian Studies, and is particularly interested in the topics of North Korea, Cross-Strait relations, and Japanese politics.
