Liu Yuanyuan

Liu Yuanyuan graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) with two bachelor degrees and attended the Interdisciplinary Summer Program at Cambridge University in 2015.
 
During her undergraduate study, she received several scholarships for academic excellence and was named an Outstanding Student Leader of the Year, Outstanding Graduate. She also served as the President of BFSU’s Student Union, taking charge of 11 affiliated departments.
 
She focused on cross-cultural issues under the National Undergraduate Training Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and helped design a project for the local government during her internship at the Center for Public Diplomacy Studies. As a “Student Ambassador”in the China-US Cultural Exchange Program, she helped her American fellows better understand China. These experiences, along with her volunteer work at The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, inspire her to further her study in international relations. She intends to work in IGOs after graduation. She is now assisting in government relations analysis as an intern at APCO Worldwide.
 
Yuanyuan’s research interests include European studies, regional governance, and public diplomacy.
