About Chi Jiahe

Chi Jiahe was born and raised in Ningbo and enrolled in the Tsinghua-SAIS Dual Degree Program in 2017. He received a B.A., magna cum laude, in International Relations at Tufts University in 2016 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Jiahe interned at Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy on government relations and partnership. Previously, Jiahe has directed the International Relations Director’s Leadership Council (DLC) at Tufts University as a co-chair. He was a synaptic scholar at the Institute for Global Leadership.  In the 2015 Tufts China-US Symposium, Jiahe ran and moderated cultural panels. Jiahe has led a volunteer team in Hongguan County, Guizhou, seeking to promote a culture of reading.

Jiahe’s current research interests lie in China’s engagement in emerging markets and practices and the evolution of international law. Secretly longing for a philosophical life, Jiahe loves to refine poeticness from modernity and scrutinize the intricacy in mediocrity.
