About XiuyuXiuyu Li graduated from Tsinghua University in 2019 as a Bachelor of Law in International Politics and a Bachelor of Economics. During undergraduate studies, he has been awarded the University-level Scholarships and Outstanding Graduates of Tsinghua University.
Through a series of relevant internships and activities, Xiuyu has accomplished some experience and insights in the field of international affairs. In Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS), Center for China and Globalization (CCG) as well as Greenpeace, Xiuyu conducted quantitative analysis and wrote policy papers in a wide range of issues like Chinese foreign investment, the Belt and Road Initiative and Energy security in developing countries. In 2016, Xiuyu performed an 11-day field research in Taiwan as the team leader, investigating the roles and functions of the local NGOs. Xiuyu also gradually built up his quantitative ability during his undergraduate study. Serving as a research assistant in the Data and Computation Lab in Department of International Relations. Tsinghua University, Xiuyu participated in the Geopolitical Risk Forecast Program. In 2018, he attended the Annual Conference of Chinese Community of Political Science and International Studies as a speaker in the panel for network analysis. Xiuyu has shown his interest in international political economy and quantitative methods in political science. He looks forward to enhancing his understanding in international cooperation and development and gaining some practical skills for global affairs through the Tsinghua-SAIS program.
