About Zhang Hao

I hold a bachelor degree in international relations from Renmin University of China, with one-year concurrent enrollment at the University of California at Berkeley. During my bold venture into the field of IR, I have served as the research assistant in Berkeley’s Political Science Department, Renmin’s Center for Foreign Strategy Studies, Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, etc. My hands-on working experience in the Golden Gate Audubon Society, China’s International Energy Cooperation Forum, and APEC’s Energy Ministerial Meeting has stimulated my research interests in East Asian regionalism. Previous problems in the academic inquiry have highlighted the necessity of revising the rigid “reality” of geopolitics with broader humanistic perspectives, thus I have been constantly endeavoring to reach a more comprehensive understanding of this important region.
