About Evan Arant

Evan Arant is masters candidate at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where he specializes in international development and economics. He also is a Masters candidate at Tsinghua University, which he attended as part of a dual degree program with SAIS.  While attending Tsinghua University, Evan was a Communications Intern at Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy. He has a background in education and microfinance, having taught mathematics and economics at the Assumption School in the Republic of the Marshall Islands and served as a Strategy Intern at Grameen Financial Services Limited, a microfinance firm based in Bangalore.  Evan graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, with degrees in political science and economics.
