Cai RuiCai Rui graduated from Hunan University with a BA degree in English. She was awarded the Hugo Shong Scholarship and several others during undergraduate study. Accredited as a Level II Interpreter and Translator, she participated in multiple international forums and seminars where International Relations captured her interest.
Serving as an intern interpreter/project assistant in the Department of Commerce in Hunan, she was directly responsible for two seminars which aimed at developing countries and countries along the B & R Initiative and has closely communicated with 48 officials from 15 countries; herein, she learned more about the political environments of these countries. Out of great interest in Africa, she went to Zambia and worked as an interpreter in a China-Aid program to gain a better understanding of China-Africa cooperation and China-Aid programs. Meanwhile, she also actively engaged herself as a volunteer in numerous events, such as the B & R Youth Forum and the Chinese Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference. Cai Rui’s research interests are China-America relations, the Belt and Road Initiative, and China-Africa Cooperation. |
