About Xinmeng

Xinmeng Huang graduated from Fudan University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Law in International Politics, as well as a minor in International Economics and Trade. During her undergraduate studies, she has also attended summer exchange programs at Yale University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She was president of the Translation Club and represented Fudan University at the Asian Future Political Leaders Association in 2017. In 2018, she attended the Shanghai Forum as a student journalist and served as a student liaison officer for the event’s guest of honor – the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations. In recognition of her contributions, she was conferred the prestigious ‘Outstanding Graduate of Fudan University’ award in 2019.

Passionate about global governance, international development and Sino-Africa cooperation, Xinmeng has worked as a research assistant at the Global Affairs Department of Fudan Development Institute. She has also interned at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (Shanghai Chapter), where she played an instrumental role in facilitating the Corporate Social Responsibility Forum and Sustainable Business Awards. An inquisitive learner, to gain more insights on Chinese society, she has conducted field research in Shanghai city, Zhejiang and Guangxi provinces as well.

Through the Tsinghua-SAIS dual master degree program, she aspires to acquire more knowledge, broaden her horizon and enrich her life experiences. Currently, she is part of the Young Ambassadors Program at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, where she supports resident scholars in their research work, and assists with the center’s daily operations. An avid lover of the arts, music and traveling, she hopes to share the joy of living with her loved ones.
